 Muslin wheels are made of high-quality cotton fabric, they are distinguished by the class of the thinness of the fabric, the number of layers that make up the fabric abrasive wheel.
Fabric polishing wheels made of muslin of the most popular diameters are divided into 3 classes of density and, accordingly, roughness. Each group corresponds to a certain color:
 1. Muslin wheels of blue color are the most dense and are intended for active initial polishing, they were called muslin grinding wheels;
 2. Yellow muslin polishing wheels have medium density and are used for preliminary polishing;
 3. White muslin cloth, respectively, from the layers of the most delicate fabric, and intended for the final final polishing.
The efficiency of working with muslin wheels is increased when an abrasive paste is applied to the rotating polishing muslin wheel. GOI polishing paste and diamond polishing pastes are currently popular.
Correct selection and use of grinding paste is mandatory for high-quality polishing. Unequivocal answer: "which paste is better to polish?" - hard to give. It is more optimal to polish a surface of the same material at certain stages of polishing with GOY paste, and at others with diamond pastes, and vice versa.
Use of muslin discs.
The use of muslin discs of different densities must correspond to a certain class of abrasive roughness of the polishing paste.
It is undesirable, for example, to use abrasive paste with a large dispersion on a delicate white muslin circle at the final stage of the treated surface. At the same time, the use of fine-grained polishing paste for rough grinding with a blue cloth wheel made of muslin will be ineffective.
