Muslin wheels are made from high-quality cotton fabric, distinguished by the class of fineness of the fabric, the number of layers that make up the fabric abrasive wheel.
    Muslin cloth polishing wheels of the most popular diameters are divided into 3 classes of density, and, accordingly, roughness. Each group has a specific color:
     1. Blue muslin wheels are the densest and are designed for active initial polishing, called muslin grinding wheels;
     2. yellow muslin polishing pads are of medium density and are used for pre-polishing;
     3. The white muslin cloth corresponds to the circles of the layers of the most delicate fabric, and is intended for final finishing polishing.
    The performance of muslin wheels is enhanced when an abrasive paste is applied to the rotating muslin polishing wheel. GOI polishing paste and diamond polishing pastes are currently popular.
    Proper selection and use of grinding paste is essential for high-quality polishing. A definite answer: "what kind of paste is better to polish?" - hard to give. It is more optimal to polish a surface from the same material at certain stages of polishing with GOI paste, and at others with diamond pastes, and vice versa.
The use of muslin circles.
    The use of muslin discs of different densities must be matched to the specific abrasive roughness class of the polishing paste.
    So it is undesirable, for example, to use a coarse dispersion abrasive paste on a white muslin delicate circle when finishing the treated surface. At the same time, the use of a fine grit polishing paste for rough grinding with a blue muslin cloth wheel will be ineffective.
    Polishing of metal, steel surfaces, polishing of stainless steel, non-ferrous and precious metals, jewellery, natural stones, ceramics, polishing of glass, plastics and other surfaces are areas of application for muslin polishing pads.
